All WordPress installations have a default login page that can be accessed at “http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php” where “http://yourdomain.com” is where you have WordPress installed. When a visitor attempts to access a page that requires authentication such as /wp-admin they will automatically be redirected to the login page.
MemberMouse comes with its own login page.
The MemberMouse login page utilizes WordPress' built-in authentication functionality behind-the-scenes, but provides you with an opportunity to style the login form and add additional content to the login page.
When MemberMouse is installed WordPress is configured to use our login page instead of the WordPress login page. Sometimes you may prefer to continue to have WordPress' login page be the default, in which case you can instruct MemberMouse to bypass this configuration setting.
How to configure whether to use MemberMouse's or WordPress' login page as the default
- From the MemberMouse menu, go to General Settings, and then click on the Other Settings tab.
- Scroll down to the Login Page Settings section.
- To instruct MemberMouse to use the WordPress login page as the default, uncheck the check box. If you leave the box checked, the MemberMouse login page will be used as the default login page.
- Click the Save Settings button to save your settings.
