Exporting Members

The option to export members from the MemberMouse database is available to all Employee Accounts with Administrative rights. This tool allows you to export filtered lists in CSV format from the Manage Member area using any of the available filters.

The CSV export can be used for:

  • Accounting and bookkeeping
  • Reporting
  • Imports to 3rd party software
  • Migrations
  • Bulk alteration of user data
  • Long-term storage of member data
  • And much, much more

One of the most frequent and practical applications of the export tool is to use the exported data for bulk alterations of member data. This can involve adding data to member accounts, modifying dates, adjusting membership levels, adding bundles, and more. For a comprehensive guide on how to update members using the import process, please refer to this article: Import Members with the Import Wizard

How To Export Members and Their Data
  1. From the MemberMouse menu, click on Manage Members.

  2. If you only want to export a certain group of members, use the advanced search area to filter the members down.

  3. Once you have the list of members you want to export, click the Export Members button at the top of the screen. This will generate a CSV file that you can download, which contains member data for the members currently listed.

Troubleshooting Problems During Export
  • Non-employees will not see the export button. If you need to export but do not have access, an administrator will have to edit the employee account to the administrator level or check the option to permit exports within that employee's account.

For more information about the options on Employee Accounts, you can reference this article about creating an employee account.

  • If the export hangs and does not complete, it may indicate admin-side errors, needed updates, non-UTF8 characters in the export, or a lack of server resources. Please submit a ticket so our team can determine the problem and find solutions for you.
  • If the export completes but does not produce a file, your popup blocker could be the cause.
