MemberMouse Platform Updates (Version 2.4.0)

MemberMouse 2.4.0 is now available – you can update directly from the link on your WordPress Dashboard or download using the link below to manually upgrade.

On a personal note, the organizer in me is in love with the new features this release offers:

• the ability to merge accounts and better SPAM protection through reCAPTCHA v3 means fewer unnecessary, unneeded and unwanted accounts;
• hiding old or infrequently used products, membership levels and bundles will tidy up those lists and make finding what I need quicker;
• with the Gifts Log all of that information that was once spread between individual members is now nicely packaged in one interface;
• and being able to directly access a list of who has used a particular coupon through the new Coupon Log means the days of wishing I could click on the number in the ‘# Used' column are gone for good. You coupon creators know what I mean!

Add to all of that the ability to send receipts with a PDF attachment via the PDF Receipts Plugin, and I'm feeling much more organized and efficient for 2021 already!

Increase Protection against SPAM and Bot signups with reCAPTCHA v3 The latest version of Google's free SPAM protection, reCAPTCHA v3, is now available to enable on your checkout page. reCAPTCHA v3 helps you detect bot traffic on your website and reduce spam signups without having to offer tests to every user. Instead of displaying a CAPTCHA challenge, reCAPTCHA v3 returns a score transparently, behind-the-scenes that indicates if the customer has passed the test or not. This is the beauty of reCAPTCHA v3, the user experience is transparent and doesn't interfere with the checkout process, but as a site owner, you get the added protection that reCAPTCHA provides. NOTE when upgrading to 2.4.0 from a previous version: If you already had reCAPTCHA configured on your site, you will have to re-enable it after the upgrade by going to Checkout Settings > reCAPTCHA and clicking this checkbox:

Merge Duplicate Accounts When a member has signed up or made purchases using different email addresses, multiple accounts are created, and this can cause confusion for the member. The Merge Accounts feature allows the admin to merge two member accounts together, to consolidate them into a single account. This function allows for selecting general account information, custom field data, access rights, subscriptions and payment information from either member account and combines it into one. Hide Products, Membership Levels, and Bundles from Admin view Marie Kondo your cluttered lists! We've added the ability to hide (and then show again) products, membership levels and bundles from their respective Product Settings list views. This feature also includes the ability to make the item inactive at the same time, or leave active and just hide from view. Coupon Insights at a Glance We've created a Coupon Log to search, store and track all your coupon information. This feature allows the admin to view all coupons used (free or with a paid transaction associated) in one place. It gives a full view of who used the coupon and when; the order number associated with it; and which coupon was used. It includes the ability to search by coupon and member ID. PLUS, it can be directly accessed from the ‘# Used' column in the main Coupons area. Learn more about Using the Coupon Log and our Coupon functionality.

Manage and Track Gift Purchases with Ease We've created a Gifts Log to sort, review and track all purchases made as gifts in one place. This feature gives a full view of who purchased a gift and when; allows the admin to see if, when and by whom the gift has been redeemed; and access the Gift Link if the gift has not yet been redeemed. The Gifts Log can be sorted to Show All Gifts; Show Only Redeemed Gifts; or Show Only Gifts Pending Redemption. Learn more about Using the Gifts Log and our Gifting functionality.

PDF Receipts Plugin Available for those running 2.4.0+, we have created an open-source plugin for MemberMouse that sends receipts to your members in PDF format, allowing them to more easily retain copies for their records. This plugin allows you to draft a billing receipt email with PDF attachment that is sent to members when initial and rebill payments are received. You can add a logo and customize the Header and Footer(s) on the attached PDF. You can also allow your members to add custom billing details to the receipt and choose to ‘cc’ an additional recipient. There is functionality to resend a previous receipt and translation support. You must be running version 2.4.0+ to utilize this plugin. Added the Expiration Date column to Member Export File For members on expiring membership levels, this enhancement includes the date of membership expiration in the member export. Learn more about exporting member data.

Updated Stripe Integration for Indian Regulatory Requirements A special delivery for our friends in India. We've added a Description field to Stripe transactions to meet requirements for international transactions via Stripe India.

Don't get left behind We want to strongly encourage anyone still running versions 2.2.9 and below to update to the latest version. Since 2.2.9, there have been many security and operational enhancements, including support for Strong Customer Authentication, not to mention great new features and bug fixes.
